the frick
I finally went to The Frick earlier this week and came away quite impressed. The estate itself is remarkable, and the collection likewise. The Old Masters are well represented, with a standout Rembrandt self-portrait, and several exquisite Vermeer’s. My favorite, though, and quite unexpectedly, was “Vetheuil in Winter” by Monet.
Yes, Claude Monet.
