Another Green World, the exhibit at carriage trade on Walker Street, aims to “draw parallels between the genre of landscape and the current preoccupation with green in popular culture” by exploring “contradictory impulses and their underlying conflicts which are now frequently veiled.”
The Pace Gallery is celebrating its 50th anniversary by staging a “multi-venue retrospective of the gallery’s history highlighting the many artists, exhibitions, people, literature and ideals that have influenced its narrative over the past five decades.” Make a point to visit all four exhibitions.
The LES is once again causing quite a scene, although not everybody seems to be overjoyed. Coming soon: Rooster Art Gallery.

Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla will represent the United States at the 2011 Venice Biennale. This will mark the first time that “a collaborative, rather than a single artist, will represent the United States and the first time that a combination of performance and installation will occupy the pavilion.”
