Roxy Paine welcomes spring with an installation on the roof of the Met. “Maelstrom” is a “130-foot-long treelike sculpture made from 10,000 pieces of stainless steel.” It is an interesting counterpoint to Frederick Law Olmsted’s masterpiece.
